The elderly grandson of Van Helsing. He reveals that only one vampire, Vanessa, survived the original eradication. He assists Lannon by demonstrating vampire lore at the morgue, using a wooden stake to reanimate a corpse and prove the supernatural nature of the killings, but is later killed by Vanessa.
Helsing educates Lannon on vampire lore, converting him from skeptic to believer.
Helsing identifies Vanessa as the vampire threat and is ultimately killed by her.
