Former showgirl and Harry Brock's girlfriend. Initially uneducated and submissive, she is hired by Harry to be taught by journalist Paul Verrall. Through Paul's guidance, she rapidly gains knowledge, becomes independent, refuses to sign corrupt contracts, overcomes Harry's intimidation, and escapes with Paul to start a new life.
