A Union Army officer and Johanna Carter's fiancé. Captured by Barstow's men, he provides intelligence about Union awareness of the Confederate presence. He successfully escapes, later returns with Union cavalry to attempt a rescue, and ultimately raises the Confederate flag on Rocky Mountain to honor the fallen soldiers' bravery.
