Demobilized RAF veteran framed for manslaughter after Narcy betrays him during a heist. Sentenced to prison, he escapes and becomes a fugitive. After being falsely accused of murder, he returns to London and is used as bait by Inspector Rockliffe. He confronts and kills Narcy on a rooftop, but remains in custody while Rockliffe vows to find evidence of his innocence.
