The protagonist and a weary priest at a Niagara Falls parish. His routine life is disrupted after receiving a letter from his dying former mentee, Christopher, regarding a shared bed 40 years ago. He travels to Northern Ontario to visit family and confront Christopher’s widow, Catherine, about molestation allegations, though he himself remains uncertain about the past incident.
