Consumed by jealousy over his wife's pregnancy and a supposed business trip, he accidentally kills Slavko. He later discovers Lina's affair with Borko, confesses his infertility, and is brutally beaten. Despite the catastrophic chain of events, he ends the film traveling to Opatia with Lina and Niko.
