A French businessman in his 50s who initially approaches Eastern European migrants at Gare du Nord. After his apartment is invaded and stripped by a gang, he forms a complex relationship with Rouslan. He attempts to guide Rouslan toward independence, rescues him from a violent kidnapping, and ultimately seeks to legally adopt him.
