A particle physicist who builds a teleportation prototype. After her husband Matt dies in a traffic accident, she discovers the machine accesses a parallel universe. She crosses over, retrieves an alternate version of Matt, and soon realizes he is not exactly like the husband she lost.
Jane is married to Matt and shares a happy domestic life before his death.
