Former circus trapeze artist and Julien's estranged wife. She resents the stray cat Julien adopts, destroys his newspapers, and attempts to get rid of it. During a heated argument over a pistol Julien leaves behind, she shoots the cat dead. She later dies of heart failure after collapsing while reading their exchanged notes.
