The young wife of Count Marc Antonio, whom he married to protect her after her father's death. Initially suspicious of Andrea, she grows to admire him and falls in love with him. She steadfastly refuses to surrender him to Don Esteban, endures imprisonment, and ultimately escapes with Andrea to lead the city's liberation and marry him.
