Lucia's world-traveling mother. Initially attracted to the hippie Eddie, she becomes the object of Frank's obsessive fantasies. Frank chokes and rapes her, after which she gives him the cold shoulder but keeps the assault secret. She later returns to Rome to stay with her daughter and Frank.
