A beauty pageant contestant suffering from bulimia and abuse by her stepfather. After cardiac arrest on stage, she is accidentally revived by Elvis. She rejects her mother's ambitions, bonds with Elvis, and runs away with him to live by the beach. Her life is disrupted by false necrophilia accusations and police pressure, leading to a suicide attempt before she ultimately reconciles with Elvis and finds healing in the sunflower field.
