A shy bookstore employee who accidentally sends love letters to a college girl, Julia. To maintain the illusion that he is a track star, he attempts to join the college team. Despite his wild javelin throwing and deep inferiority complex, his natural running speed impresses the coach and leads him to race against Julia's ex-boyfriend.
