An intelligent but disillusioned UW graduate working as a magazine intern. Assigned to investigate a mysterious time-travel classified ad, she poses as a participant to accompany Kenneth. Over time, she gains his trust, develops romantic feelings, and ultimately chooses to board his time machine with him after revealing her own motivation to prevent her mother's death.
