A henchman working for Greeley and Rankin. He participates in framing Jim Drummond and Roy Tremaine for murders. Jim discovers the murder weapon in Tremaine's well. Monk escapes custody, warns Rankin about Jim's true identity, and is ultimately captured during the final confrontation.
