One of the four main residents. She first meets the mysterious man and receives his phone number. Along with Anna, she confronts him at a lounge. She attempts to murder Thomas with poisoned whiskey, fails, and ultimately knocks him out or kills him with a barbell during his escape attempt. She also takes part in the mock trial and subsequent theater rehearsals.
Anna and Joyce act as mutual confidantes regarding their encounters with Thomas.
Claude and Joyce are long-term housemates on the estate.
Joyce becomes Thomas's ultimate adversary, ending his siege with violence.
