Protagonist and central figure. Engaged to Yukiko, his request to driver Tamura to take a side street leads to a fatal hit-and-run. Overcome with guilt, he attempts to surrender but causes Yukiko's death in a subsequent taxi crash. Visits his dying mother at a retirement community, later learns he is Ensai's biological son. Enters Hell to save his unborn daughter, ultimately leaping onto a wheel to save her soul.
