A provincial schoolgirl who arrives in Tokyo in 1958 to work at Suzuki Auto, initially shocked to find it is a modest repair shop. By 1964, she has established herself as the principal mechanic at the shop while secretly dressing up to hope for a chance encounter with Dr. Takuma.
