Throughout the trip, he supports Ross through drug-induced hallucinations and a violent road incident, later helping defend Ross from an angry crowd at the venue and celebrating his friends' romantic reconciliation.
Crash is Ross's closest companion, bridging the gap between Ross's goth isolation and the punk scene.
