The second daughter of a local Zamindar and a fellow college student. Initially antagonistic toward Srinivas, she eventually falls in love with him. She becomes the target of her brother-in-law's unwanted advances, prompting her and Srinivas to seek protection from authorities before completing their studies and marrying.
