The elder nephew of the Kolathiri Raja who becomes jealous of Udayan's success. Manipulated by court nobles, he allows Udayan's framing, marries Parvathi, and ascends to the throne. His reign is marked by guilt and financial crisis. He eventually confronts Udayan, learns the truth about his sins and his son's parentage, and is ultimately forgiven, having paid for his past transgressions.
