A childhood friend of Gopalakrishnan, currently on leave from the Indian Army. He attempts to mediate and settle communal tensions in Hindustan Colony. During Kunjikannan Nambiar's orchestrated riots, Subair is tragically killed while trying to protect his sister from Nambiar's goons.
