An innocent man who dreams of joining a folk theatre troupe. He wins the acceptance of the troupe leader, falls in love with the leader's blind daughter, and relocates to Chennai to pursue acting. After his lover is murdered by Baasi, Kuppusamy is wrongfully framed, imprisoned in a mental hospital, and later escapes to seek violent revenge, ultimately killing Baasi and the protecting officers.
