Central protagonist. A pornography-oriented filmmaker returning to Finland from America. He settles with old friends, seduces Liisa, and pursues a relationship with biology teacher Saara. He attempts to film a new Finnish romance movie featuring Sven and Ulla, keeps a notebook of 38 women, faces a lawsuit for violating sexual discipline, and ultimately flees the country by ship.
