A writer and the nephew of Edgar Typhus. Initially provides false testimony during Inspector Aldrich's interrogation, falsely accusing Paula before retracting his statement. He later tracks Paula and Widmark to Richard's secret villa, ambushes them, and shoots Widmark dead, only to be immediately killed by Paula.
Siegel's violent actions and pursuit of the villa create overlapping dangers for David.
David ambushes and kills Widmark, eliminating a major threat to his own survival.
Both characters end up killing each other in the final villa confrontation.
