Insiang’s fish-selling mother, deeply traumatized by her husband’s abandonment. She is highly abusive and controlling toward her daughter, yet dependent on Dado. After discovering Dado raped Insiang, she temporarily turns him away but later blames Insiang. She ultimately murders Dado out of jealousy and rage, leading to her imprisonment and a fractured relationship with her daughter.
