Daughter of the Petkoff family, initially engaged to Lieutenant Sergius. She begins with idealistic views of war but grows disillusioned after sheltering Bluntschli. Despite her engagement, she sympathizes with and hides Bluntschli from Bulgarian soldiers. Eventually, she resists Sergius's advances, accepts Bluntschli's proposal, and willingly moves to Switzerland with him.
