A trainee heart surgeon who is stranded with a broken-down taxi on a rainy night in Calcutta. Abhijit gives her a lift, and they begin dating and falling in love. She later travels to the Andaman Islands with Abhijit, where she reconnects with her high school acquaintance Subhro. The film opens with her found dead in a bed, framing the narrative of their tragic romance.
