A friend of a politician's son who is mistaken for the son by a gang of criminals. He is attacked and left for dead but recovers after Nora nurses him. Suspicious of her background, he initially leaves her. Two years later, he returns as a successful house owner, stops Nora's father from a robbery, protects her despite the evidence, and reunites with her.
