A coachman who owns a carriage and a horse named Karel. After Oldřich gets drunk and misses his wedding, Šourek helps him return. He later witnesses Oldřich's bet with his daughter Boženka, provides written proof, and lends the carriage and horse for the month. At the end, he hides the recovered horse to facilitate the couples' reconciliations.
