The local sheriff investigating a nurse's attack. He suspects Dr. Beck, confronts him at a store, and pursues a stolen ambulance. He tracks the transformation to the caves, engages in a fight where he is disarmed, and is ultimately attacked and killed by a horde of bats after Cathy abandons him.
