An Indian army captain living with his parents. He is offered a position as personal secretary to Jagrathan by Mohanlal. After a chain of events involving the death of Jagrathan's son, he becomes the bearer of a mysterious key. He is falsely accused of treason, court-martialed, and dishonorably discharged. Disillusioned by the system, he joins the corrupt forces he once opposed.
Both characters unite to protect the key and survive assassination attempts.
Mohanlal acts as Amar's initial employer and political gatekeeper.
