Initially Queen of Denmark and wife of Hrothgar, Beowulf develops an attraction to her. Fifty years later, she is the estranged wife of King Beowulf, who has converted to Christianity. After Beowulf confesses his past affair, they reconcile. She remains in the castle during the dragon's attack, becoming one of the life Beowulf fights to protect.
