The teenage version of Dale during the film's opening flashback. He witnesses the apparent murder of his mother Eileen by his meth-addicted father. When police arrive and kill his father, Dale re-enters the house to comfort his mother, telling her everything will be alright, establishing the origin of his later traumatic experiences.
