Marcelo's anti-Nazi friend and Marguerite's husband. Sent to a prisoner-of-war camp, he is released appearing broken but secretly leads the French resistance. After his release, Marguerite returns to him. He is tortured by the Gestapo, killed, and reveals Julio's bombing mission to the enemy before his death.
