Wealthy executive and father of the kidnapped Andy. He organizes the ransom collection, defies the kidnapper's demands by appearing on television to offer the money as a reward for the kidnapper's capture, and later sets up a trust for the bounty. After believing his son is dead, he is overjoyed when Andy returns alive.
