A ruthless escaped convict from Folsom Prison who kidnaps Detective Ray Williams, District Attorney Barker MacDonald, and others to facilitate his getaway to Mexico. He orchestrates the hostage situation, forces false radio leads, and is eventually disabled by Ray before being shot dead by Carol.
