A struggling detective battling a failing marriage and severe alcoholism. After being shot at while driving with the police chief's daughter, he avoids suspension when Vronski takes the mandatory blood test in his place. Later implicated in the murder of an undercover narcotics agent, he tragically kills his family before taking his own life.
