The teenage daughter of the Peterson family who moves to New Zealand with her mother and brother. Despite her mother's trauma-induced ban on horses, she secretly joins the Pony Club, confronts a local breeder, and gets thrown from a horse. She later forms a bond with a wild stallion, rides it to town for emergency help, and ultimately reconciles with her family and the community.
