A software engineer who proposes to his colleague Meera. He initially insists she live with his widowed mother Leela, but backs down after she calls off the wedding. He lies to his mother about a trip, which exposes a rift between them. Later, he searches for and rescues both Meera and Leela from smugglers, ultimately reconciling with them and marrying Meera under new living conditions.
