Ten years after a childhood accident that killed his friend Kuroneko, he becomes a top student and the sole Astronomy Club member. He becomes deeply involved with transfer student Neko Kuroha, learning about her life as an escaped witch. He actively works to shelter other escaped witches and protect them from the scientists who would kill anyone involved with them.
