A reclusive researcher developing a radioactive super-nutrient to solve world hunger. His experiments cause rapid acromegaly in assistants Jacobs and Lund, leading to a lab fire. He injects himself with the serum, becomes severely deformed, and is ultimately killed by his giant tarantula.
