A naive and boastful young man from Rome's suburbs who dreams of being an action stuntman. After being rejected as an extra, he schemes with a lawyer to fake a car crash and blackmail a foreign producer. He shows a kind heart by hosting the dismissed lead actress Nancy, develops feelings for her, but ultimately abandons the scam when the lawyer suffers a mental breakdown. He returns to his old life of fabricating heroic tales.
