A young Italian con man who accidentally escapes prison alongside Philip Bang. Mistaken for Bang by Belle Duke's men, he is coerced into helping free the veteran thief. He becomes Bang's partner, romances Charlotte, and masterminds the swampland scam, faking his own death and orchestrating a double bluff to escape with Charlotte and the stolen money.
