A wealthy but cruel musician who employs Vellaiyamma. Her household becomes a site of oppression when her son attempts to assault Vellaiyamma and later tries to poison the disguised Goddess during a musical contest. Her toxic environment ultimately forces Vellaiyamma to flee and seek divine refuge.
