A friend from Tim's Vietnam service. Tim recalls a patrol with Badman searching for a POW camp, during which they discovered a well containing twenty-six dead American soldiers and suffered heavy casualties in a mortar and machine-gun ambush.
Both characters are Vietnam veterans who share the experience of combat service and post-war trauma.
