Main protagonist and resistance operative in occupied Norway. She feigns romance with Nazi commandant Paul Dichter to steal military intelligence, which she relays to the British via Dr. Aanrud. She marries Dichter for political cover and protection, ultimately helping Allied commando Allan Lowell assassinate him. After the attack, she chooses to remain in Stavik as his widow to continue aiding the resistance.
