One of the three friends who travels to the remote village. He is composed upon arrival, later plays cards with Devaki, and vows to help Hilal rescue the forced laborer Gowrikutty. During the final riot, he stabs Malu Amma's son Bhasi to create a diversion, but is ultimately killed by Narayanan.
