WWII veteran who returns to California to find his father crippled by produce dealer Mike Figlia. He partners with Ed Kinney to transport apples to San Francisco, falls for Rica after she is hired to seduce him, and ultimately seeks revenge against Figlia, culminating in a tavern confrontation that restores his family's honor.
