Police officer suspended after clashing with a rival deputy. During the earthquake, he commandeers vehicles to transport the injured and kills the rogue National Guardsman Jody to save Rosa. He drills through rubble with Graff to rescue survivors, escapes the aftershock, searches for Graff without success, and surveys the devastated city with Rosa at the end.
